Our Spotlight

"Life is going to test you in ways it never has before. Don't let your future change the good person you are or make you forget who you are." - Moulton, Angelfire

If it weren't for my classmates, teachers, and family, I wouldn't be the girl I am right now. We all know that High School is just a phase we all go through. On that fateful day of June 2008, we were thrown into a classroom knowing nothing from each other. It was the start of a great journey.

We have been through a lot in just 4 years. In those years we've shared secrets, answers, laughs, tears, and moments of pure bliss. We were a one-of-a-kind batch. We still are. Even though we have our ups and downs, we find a way to make each other smile. Even though we get reprimanded, we recover and prove the judges wrong. Our friendship has grown over the years, making us strong and united. Our achievements, both individual and as a group, has made us desire for more challenges to conquer.

Now, we're saying goodbye. The life we've built here in high school wasn't meant to last. The future is calling us, loud and clear.

We are called to believe that what we are does not matter, but rather who we are; who we have become and who we still choose to become. Though we'll be going our separate ways, we look back on that single stage where the spotlight forever shines on us. may we never forget and always remember that "no matter where life takes us, nothing can break us apart."

*This is a piece I wrote for our English subject and it is addressed to my fellow soon-to-be graduates. I hope we'll stay in touch.:)
