Hello College!
Some people say college is a great experience. Others say it's boring and a waste of time. Well, never mind what they said. I say college is an experience. You meet new people, have new friends, and get new memories to cherish.
It's a wonder how I ever got into this university when in the first place, all I wanted was to see if I could get in. Now I am in. I'm studying in one of the most prestigious schools found here, and I'm loving it. (Excluding the things we have to read, which aren't really that much fun to read. Shhh!) Sure, I get frustrated when I don't get the topic right away and I feel really inferior to the others, but then I think, who does get things right away? I may be a little slow when it comes to (ehem) Mathematics, but that doesn't mean I won't get it. Sometimes I question if coming here was the right choice; If this school will really be the one to make me who I am going to be.
I have a lot of dreams, yes. I want to achieve those dreams. I want to make my family proud. I want to be a really, REALLY successful person! God, if only I could just skip college and go directly to that immaculate office in the prestigious hospital of my dreams with a plaque outside that reads, "Dr. Christine Margarette Solon, M.D." (Adult and Child Psychiatry) Oooh! Now wouldn't that be great! (I've wanted to become a doctor ever since I saw that doctors could wear heels in hospitals, and they look like they've been saving lives all day with the best attire to make it more memorable.)
I keep thinking if I will ever graduate on time; if my tomorrow will become a reality.
Sheesh. I haven't even passed my first semester and I'm getting all emotional here. I have to be strong. I have to be positive! Yes! If I want to graduate, I will. If I want to become a damn good doctor, I will (through extensive reading and major studying). If I want to travel the world before I turn 30, then I will and I would! First, college.
So, all you students (college or otherwise) be ready for another year of learning! :)
